Kevin Andrew Otwell, 22, Charged with Sexual Assault on a Baby
Authorities in Gainsville Florida have charged Otwell with the sexual assault of his girlfriends two month old baby boy. The infant was brought to the emergency room Monday. He had suffered skull fractures several bruises on his head and arms, along with injuries consistent with sexual abuse.

Undidentified Woman's remains found in Piedmont, South Carolina
Investigators have released information in relation to a body that was found in a Piedmont subdivision last weekend. The remains belong to a woman 25-35 years old. She was wearing size 7 blue jeans, a sleeveless, hooded sweater, a black camisole, and cream colored sandals with a heal.

Deon Ross charged in murder of Alheli Alcantara

Alheli Alcantara's body was found outside the Quality Inn on East Poyntz Ave. in Manhattan, Kansas Sunday. Her co-worker at Burger King, Deon Ross, has been charged in her kidnapping, rape, and murder. He will have a preliminary hearing on October 24th.

Deleon is accused of chaining Tom and Jackie Hawks to the anchor of their yacht and throwing them overboard. The couple's bodies have never been found. Deleon's wife has already been convicted of two counts of first degree murder and has been sentenced to life without the possibility of parole.

Randall Creek arrested in Iowa for Kentucky murder
Debbie Rediess was gunned down in the driveway of her home in Near Smiths Grove in Kentucky.
Creek, a Kentucky Sheriff's Deputy, is accused of shooting Rediess with his service weapon.
Randall Creek was caught in Iowa after a two day manhunt, during which he sent e-mails to the media and police.

Cesar Laurean fighting extradition to North Carolina
Laurean fled to Mexico before authorities found Maria Lauterbach's charred remains were found in his back yard. He is appealing his extradition to NC saying that the life without parole sentence he would face for first degree murder violates the extradition treaty between Mexico and the US.

Philip Lee Kephart, 45, pleads guilty after daughter dies 16 years after beating
Kephart was convicted in 1991 of assault and criminal mistreatment after he beat 6 year old Stephanie Amber Moss until she was in a coma. He had beat her with rods, paddles, his fists, and feet. He had poured Tabasco sauce in her eyes. She and the other children in the house were victims of months of torture. She lived for 16 years after the last beating. She died on June 29, 2007 at the age of 23.
Kephart was allowed to plead guilty and get a 30 year sentence with the chance of parole after 20 years. In exchange, he has agreed to drop all appeals in the case.

James L. Owens, 43,released from prison after 21 years in prison after DNA fails to link him to 1987 murder
Colleen Williar
James Owens was convicted of the 1987 murder of Colleen Williar and has spent 21 years in a Maryland prison. In 2006, DNA tests showed that neither he or his co-defendant had raped Williar. His murder and burglary convictions were thrown out. Prosecutors have now decided not to go through with trying him again. He was released from prison today.

Authorities say his grandfather, 51-year-old Clemens Tinnemeyer, who has been missing since May, owes millions of dollars to a Mexican drug cartel. Police are looking for Tinnemeyer's white 2004 Dodge Ram Truck with Mississippi plates.

Unidentified Remains found in Caswell County, NC
Skeletal remains were found in a wooded area off Spark Springs Road in Caswell County on September 25. Police have yet to be able to identify the remains. Investigators are treating the case as a homicide.

Alvin Kelly, 57, executed in Texas

these were some of Kelly's last words before dying by lethal injection. He asked for forgiveness for the murder he admits he committed and sang a song praising God as the death cocktail began to course through his veins.
He was convicted of the 1984 death of 22 month old Devin Morgan who was shot along with his parents in their Gregg county home.

Alvin Kelly to be executed Tuesday in Texas
Kelly is one of 12 prisoners on Texas' death row scheduled to die in the next two months. He was convicted of the 1984 murder of, 22-month old, Devin Morgan who was murdered along with his parents in Gregg County. Kelly admitted guilt in an unrelated homicide, but maintains his innocence of the murders of the Morgan Family.

Oni Hairston is described as a 2-year-old black female. She was wearing a green shirt and pink pants. She was last seen with 38-year-old Christopher Hairston in the area of Interstate 270 and East Main Street in Columbus. Christopher Hairston is believed to be driving a gray Mazda 6 with Ohio license plate ELG 7426. He is described as a black male, 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing 275 pounds.
She was abducted after her mother was assaulted

Prentice Shipp charged in Sharkelia Taylor murder
Sharkelia Taylor was shot and killed on may 26, Prentice Shipp, 18, has been arrested and charged with first degree murder and attempted first degree murder. Taylor was shot in the back and another girl was hit in the leg.
