Cesar Laurean fighting extradition to North Carolina

Laurean fled to Mexico before authorities found Maria Lauterbach's charred remains were found in his back yard. He is appealing his extradition to NC saying that the life without parole sentence he would face for first degree murder violates the extradition treaty between Mexico and the US.

Unidentified Remains found in Caswell County, NC

Skeletal remains were found in a wooded area off Spark Springs Road in Caswell County on September 25. Police have yet to be able to identify the remains. Investigators are treating the case as a homicide.

Juan Joseph, 24, killed in shooting in Winston-Salem

Demetrius Hairston, 26, has been charged in the death of Juan Joseph. Hairston had a gunshot wound to his leg, and has been admitted to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.

The shooting occurred on Martin Luther King Jr. drive at 2:41 am on Saturday.

Apex NC teen, Gavin John Clevesy, charged with kidanpping and rape

Clevesy, 17, is accused of forcing his way into a Cary home and attacking a man in his sixties and raping his wife. He was being held Sunday night in Wake County jail in lieu of $2.5 million bail.

Body of 20 year old Jamar Lamont Stimpson found in Greensboro NC

Stimpson's body was found in the parking lot of Labamba Mexican Resturaunt on Hight point Road in Greensboro.
