Caylee's body found?

At 9:30 this morning, a utility worker found a plastic bag wrapped with duct tape about a half a mile away from Casey Anthony's parents home. When the worker picked up the bag a small child's skull fell out.

There was reportedly tape on the mouth area of the skull.

Anthony Jerome Hall Jr.'s preliminary hearing set for January, 2009

Hall was arrested on September 19, 2008 after the beaten body of 14 month old Nathan Coleman was found in a Long Beach dumpster. He has been charged with 2nd degree murder, assault on a child causing death, and child abuse.

He had been dating the child's mother and was babysitting him at the time of the murder.

Jonathan Lytle, 30 convicted of homicide by abuse of Summer Phelps

Summer Phelps' bruised and limp body was brought into a Washington hospital by her "father", Jonathan Lytle, on March 10, 2007.  He said she was found unresponsive in the family bathtub. Medical personell tried to revive the four year old, but were unsuccessful.

Detectives viewed Summer after death while she still lay on a gurney. The following is an excerpt of an affidavit by a detective:

Jonathan Lytle has been convicted of Homicide by Abuse after a trial that chronicled the hell this child went through. A DNA expert testified that red hairs found in the home and a dumpster still had tissue attached were those of Summer and they had been torn out of her head. She was bruised from head to toe. She had burns on her kneck from a dog bark collar she had been forced to wear to stifle her screaming. Bite marks and burns were found on her body. The day of her death, she had been made to wash urine stained clothes by hand in the bathtub from 12:30 in the afternoon till about 10:00 at night without eating.

Adrianna Lytle, Jonathan Lytle's wife, plead guilty to Homicide by Abuse and both are now facing life in prison.

Louis P. Corradi gets 4 Years for Sexually Abusing 5 year old girl

After the victim was unable to testify against him, Corradi was able to plead guilty to endagering the welfare of a child. The original charge was aggravated sexual assault. He would have faced 20 years had he been convicted of that charge.

Everett Sheppard, 22, of Newark charged in baby's death and sexual assault

The 22 year old Newark man has been arrested and and charged with aggravated sexual assault, aggravated assault, and endangering the welfare of a child. The 10 month old baby girl was found in cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Kevin Andrew Otwell, 22, Charged with Sexual Assault on a Baby

Authorities in Gainsville Florida have charged Otwell with the sexual assault of his girlfriends two month old baby boy. The infant was brought to the emergency room Monday. He had suffered skull fractures several bruises on his head and arms, along with injuries consistent with sexual abuse.

One of Martin Luther King Jr.'s top lieutenants has been sentenced to 15 years in prison in Virginia after being convicted of incest. Bevel's daughter testified that she had been molested since the age of 6 and was forced to have intercourse in 1993 or 1994.

Philip Lee Kephart, 45, pleads guilty after daughter dies 16 years after beating

Kephart was convicted in 1991 of assault and criminal mistreatment after he beat 6 year old Stephanie Amber Moss until she was in a coma. He had beat her with rods, paddles, his fists, and feet. He had poured Tabasco sauce in her eyes. She and the other children in the house were victims of months of torture. She lived for 16 years after the last beating. She died on June 29, 2007 at the age of 23.

Kephart was allowed to plead guilty and get a 30 year sentence with the chance of parole after 20 years. In exchange, he has agreed to drop all appeals in the case.

Harrell Johnson, 29, convicted of murder in Erica Green's death

Erica Green's decapitated corpse was found in Kansas City in 2001. The child's head was located nearby her body in a trash bag. For four years, she was only known as Precious Doe.

In May of 2005, after her grandfather stepped forward with information, she was identified. Her mother and her mother's boyfriend were arrested and charged with murder.

Harrell Johnson has now been convicted in Kansas City of murder. According to prosecutors, Johnson kicked Erica in the head. Knowing the child was dying, Johnson and the mother decided not to seek medical attention because they both had warrants out for their arrests. They waited for the girl to die, and Johnson cut her head off with garden shears. They then dumped her body in the woods.

Hardin has been charged with three counts of child molestation, one count of incest, and on count of pandering.

"Precious Doe" Erica Green's Mother testifies at her husband's trial

Michelle Johnson testified in a Kansas City Courtroom today that her little girl needed help after being her husband Harrell Johnson kicked her in the head, but they were on the run from police, so they waited for her to die.

"I was on the floor with her. I was singing her favorite song to her, which was a Barney song," Michelle Johnson told the jury. "I kissed her. I was asking God to let my daughter live and to take me."
