Sandra Givens' body found in Arkansas

Authorities have located the remains of Sandra Givens in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Givens was reported missing last year. Police have arrested George Alan Smith in her death. An inmate informant, Ronald Dale Charles who claims to be involved in 15 murders, gave the information that led to the discovery of the body in a wooded area.

Harroon Khan was allegedly abducted by Lafave and her boyfriend of two weeks, Travis Zoellick, before Zoelick took Khan into the woods and slit his throat. Lafave knew the man would be killed according to reports, but participated in the abduction, and stood by as the man was killed. 

Why would she do this? Supposedly because she was afraid this prize of a man would leave her if she didn't.

"Precious Doe" Erica Green's Mother testifies at her husband's trial

Michelle Johnson testified in a Kansas City Courtroom today that her little girl needed help after being her husband Harrell Johnson kicked her in the head, but they were on the run from police, so they waited for her to die.

"I was on the floor with her. I was singing her favorite song to her, which was a Barney song," Michelle Johnson told the jury. "I kissed her. I was asking God to let my daughter live and to take me."

Erica Greens body was found decapitated and nude in 2001. She was known as Precious Doe until 2005 when her grandfather stepped forward with information.

Juan Joseph, 24, killed in shooting in Winston-Salem

Demetrius Hairston, 26, has been charged in the death of Juan Joseph. Hairston had a gunshot wound to his leg, and has been admitted to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.

The shooting occurred on Martin Luther King Jr. drive at 2:41 am on Saturday.

Wilber Ake was found murdered in his North Houston Apartment On September 23. He had been scalped, his nose had been cut off, and had multiple stab wounds to his neck and stomach. Graffiti written in blood was found scrawled on the inside of his front door, and his apartment had been ransacked.

Video surveillance has shown Mark Boyd using the dead man's ATM card to withdraw cash and purchasing items at a convenience store. Boyd is reported to have told a neighbor while wearing a bloody glove that he had just killed a man. He was arrested Friday and is charged with murder.

Lawyers for Bobby L. Cutts Seeking new trial

Attorneys for Bobby Cutts Jr. are asking for a new trial for the covicted killer of Jesse M. Davis. They cite contradictory verdicts, prosecutorial misconduct, and an unfair jury in their attempt to secure a new trial.

Jesse Davis went missing on June 15, 2007. Her two year old son, Blake, was found alone in her duplex when Jesse's mother went to check on her after she failed to answer telephone calls. A week later, Cutts lead authorities to Davis' reamains in a shallow grave.

Cutts was convicted in the murder of Davis on Feb. 15, 2008 who was nine months pregnant with a daughter at the time of her death.

Harper was an assistant pastor at the church that the victim and his wife attended.

Sheila Bailey was found dead in her home Sunday with multiple stab wounds to the neck. The discovery was made after her children and Henson were found in possession of her car in Yankton, South Dakota. The authorities in SD notified Roanoke police when they arrested the teens for curfew violations. Due to getting a concerned call from Sheila Bailey's mother days earlier-which they had checked out, but saw noting suspicious- the police went to her residence and entered the home.

Jennifer Lee Hampton's Body Found in Tennessee

Jennifer Lee Hampton, 21, was last seen at the Days Inn in Knoxville. Tennessee on Friday, September 19, 2008.  The Florence, Alabama resident was in Knoxville with coworkers to help open a new restaurant. Saturday morning when the others gathered to begin their day, Jennifer was not among them. When checked, her room appeared to have been slept in, and it is reported that police found the scene suspicious. Her phone, money, and keys were left in the room.

A massive search was launched and the resteraunt she works at has offered a $5,000 reward.

Jennifer's body has been found in the Clinch river. Her death is being investigated as a homicide.

Crystal Figueroa Murder trial begins in Nevada

Crystal Figueroa was a beautiful three and a half year old little girl. On January 12, 2006 her beaten and battered body was found in a dumpster at the Villa Cordova Apartments. For six weeks she was known as Jane "Cordova" Doe. No one reported the child missing, nobody came forward to claim her remains.

A break came when the child's grandmother alerted authorities. Gladys Perez, the child's mother, and her boyfriend and Marc Anthony Colon were arrested and charged with murder. According to authorities the couple decided not to seek medical help for the little girl fearing that the extensive injuries would mean trouble for Colon who was on parole, instead they threw the child in the garbage after she quit breathing. They each point the finger at one another as to who caused Crystal's injuries.

Their trial has begun in Nevada.

I'll never understand how any mother could put self preservation or the welfare of her boyfriend/husband above the welfare of her child.
